30 Day Blog Challenge: Day 1

Day 01 — A recent picture and 15 facts about you

At work today... And you can see my new hair here!

1- I have three kids. They're my everything.
2- I'm married to my best friend. We don't have the perfect relationship by far, but we balance each other out well. :)
3- Tattoos are my passion. I have 15 of them so far.
4- As well as music. Almost any kind.
5- I'm not fake. What you see is what you get. Take it or leave it.
6- My family is amazing. They are the glue that keeps me together.
7- My friends are pretty great too. I don't know where I'd be without them.
8- I tattooed a heart on my hubby. And it started an addiction. I want to be a tattoo artist some day!
9- I'm very outspoken. I may come off as a bitch because of this, but so be it.
10- I can get a little redneck at times. Especially if alcohol is involved or you really make me mad. I guess that's the Shifflett in me.
11- I've lost three people who were very close to me in the past year. It still kills me inside and I still cry about it almost every day. I don't think it will ever get easier.
12- On my days off, there's nothing I'd rather do than be with my kids.
13- I work full-time at nTelos as a Customer Care Rep. Some people don't like the job, but I really don't mind it. I make it through the day with lots of laughter. :)
14- Good Charlotte is my favorite band. I have their "GC" logo tattooed on my ribs and "Motivate Me" from one of their songs on my foot.
15- I love the sound of a tattoo gun and the smell of green soap. Have I mentioned I am addicted to tattoos?

  1. I'm sorry for your loss. I lost two family members in a matter of three months, twelve years later I still miss them but all of the memories are still there.

  2. Hugs Mamma. It may never get easier, but the crying will not happen so often as days go on.
